Ferrari Luce with G29
Why

Everyone was judging Ferrari's first EV from videos. I wanted to judge it from behind the wheel.

What

When Ferrari revealed the Luce, designed by Jony Ive and Marc Newson, their stock dropped 7% that same day: a four-door Ferrari with a shell-like, two-tone body that critics said didn't even look like a Ferrari. A $640k car is a little outside my tax bracket, so I built one I could drive. I mapped a Logitech G29 racing wheel to the prototype, so you can control it for real. The Manettino dial, torque, multigraph, startup sequence, and every component across the cluster and control panel. It all responds the way it would in the car.

Impact

Proof that a racing wheel and a prototype are enough to give anyone the test drive the critics never took.

Explore music by similarity
Why

AI recommends songs well, but they still feel somewhat random. You get a list, with no visual sense of why these songs or how they connect to what you're hearing.

What

This prototype turns recommendations into a space you can explore. The song playing sits at the center, and similar tracks bloom around it as nodes, the closer the node, the closer the match. You pinch, tap, and drag to move through them. Drag the center onto another node and the map reforms around that song, so finding your next track feels like drifting from one to the next, not scrolling a list.

Impact

Tested whether seeing the connections fixes the randomness. When distance means similarity, a recommendation explains itself before you press play.

Bringing pinch-to-zoom to Apple Music
Why

You know you saved the album in your music library. You just can't remember the name or the artist, so you scroll and scroll, waiting to recognize the cover.

What

Apple Music makes you rely on search, even when you'd know the album the instant you saw it. Photos already solved this. You can pinch to zoom out, scan everything at once, pinch back in when you spot it. This prototype brings that gesture to Apple Music. Pinch between a single album, a 2x2, and a 4x4 grid, so you can zoom out to scan your whole library and zoom in the moment you find it.

Impact

Confirmed the Photos gesture carries straight over. Recognition finds the album search couldn't, and there's nothing new to learn.

Multiple images per prompt in ChatGPT
Why

Ask ChatGPT for multiple images and it always gives you one, often a collage. The model can do more, but the chat interface won't let you get to it.

What

This prototype gets to it, built on the latest ChatGPT Images 2.0 API. You write one prompt and get back a set of separate images. It also adds a swipe-to-rate feature, so you can evaluate each image with a quick swipe and shape what comes next.

Impact

Showed the interface was the bottleneck, and a swipe per image turned out to be enough signal to steer the next batch.

EA Sports social app
Why

A client demo for the EA Sports design team. A pitch lands differently when the team is holding the product instead of watching a walkthrough.

What

A full social companion app you can actually use, not a set of static screens. It runs the whole experience, a splash intro, live streaming, player stats, an Instagram-style feed, and squad management where you drag one player's card onto another to swap them and reshape your formation. Every screen responds and every gesture feels like a shipped app.

ProtoFit
Why

Built for a Consumer Tech demo in a self-serve PLG education series, to show a prototype behaving like the real store.

What

A full e-commerce app you can actually shop, not a happy-path demo. You browse running shoes, pick a pair, and move through cart to checkout, and the prototype handles the parts fake demos skip. Sold-out sizes, real errors when you forget to pick one, prices and quantities updating live, and the full Apple Pay sheet, double-click and all.

Google Home
Why

Remote controls only feel real when the thing they control reacts. Most prototypes stop at the phone screen.

What

A small, playful take on controlling an appliance from your phone. The washing machine and the Google Home app are two separate prototypes, linked with ProtoPie Connect so they talk to each other live. Rotate the dial on the phone to pick a mode, and the machine answers at once, its display and progress ring turning right along with your finger.

CarPlay with CarKey
Why

Car screens only make sense in sync, and you can't test sync one screen at a time. This one doubles as a showcase for ProtoPie AI.

What

Three separate prototypes, the CarPlay screen, the instrument cluster, and the phone, linked with ProtoPie Connect so they act like one connected car. Make a call on CarPlay and the cluster updates to match. Receive a CarKey by message, then use it from your phone to start and stop the car. Each piece runs on its own, but together they move as a single system.

From chart image to interactive prototype
Why

Fintech designers want charts you can scrub, where an indicator tracks your finger along the line. Building that normally takes real code, and even writing the formulas by hand turns out to be its own headache.

What

So I made a tool that skips all of it. Drop in an image of any chart and you get back a working prototype, drag across the graph and the indicator follows. Image in, interactive chart out, no formula calculation required.
